Sun Tripper Cap

I've had this hat over 10 years now and it goes everywhere with me, I absolutely love it and such a clever design to be able to fold down so small to fit in handbag/pocket, adjustable tightness so it doesn't blow off and holders on the side so your sun glasses can fit into so they don't fall off. Highly recommend!

Best hat I’ve ever had

I really like this hat, but sweat quickly stains the forehead area no matter how often I launder it. Even Shout spray can’t get the stains out. Sunday Afternoons stood behind the product and sent a new one, but that one also showed stains after the first hot day. I tried laundering it right away but I didn’t have any more success than I did with the one I had let the stain build up. It is a great hat, not suitable for wearing in town once the stain starts.

Love this hat. Have a tendency to get skin cancer so always have at least one in the car to protect my face when I am unexpectedly caught outside. Fits great & can be cinched tight if heavy winds blow at the beach, which is frequent. Washes up easily & doesn’t get bent out of shape when crammed in a suitcase. I’ve had my rust colored one for at least 5 years & have taken it everywhere. Shows no signs of wear. Even my fashionista DIL from DC borrowed the blue one this morning to weir to Michigan Adventure! Note I have a big head so I get L in this style.

I'm buying my third Sun Tripper Cap - it is by far my favorite cap. Why?
The foldable brim means I can put it in a pocket.
The glasses holder holes work great.
I can tighten it up if it is windy so it doesn't fall off, even when boating.
Because the top doesn't hug my head, I can wear it without getting hat-head.
And other expected features: it is machine washable, the material is lightweight and cool, it is comfortable.
I've had my first one for about ten years and it is a bit stained (it's the tan color), but otherwise as good as the day I bought it.

I didn't need another hat, but when in the North Fork General Store outside of Salmon, Idaho last week and about to go off the grid on my annual six-day river rafting trip (I'm the musician who sings around the campfire every night), I tried this one on for fun. It was so comfortable and well designed that I plucked my plastic down right then and there. During the trip it came in handy for sun protection, for comfort, dried quickly and even folds in half without ruining the bill of the cap. The color "mineral" is perfect too.

Bought this hat about a couple of year’s ago and loved it until I stared to get stains around the bottom of hat. Always hand washed the hat but the stain just get worse some of the stains almost look like a bar code now and getting stains on the bill.

My cap is as advertised and more, iit’s my. go anywhere cap and I love it!

This is a great hat. It is comfortable, feels tough and ready for just about anything. I do like the colour, but it was quite a bit misleading. On the website, the Mineral looks like a medium grey hat, but is more of a slate blue (so blue-grey) which is one of my favourite shades of blue, but it is a bit tough to match sometimes. It was initially a little bit of a disappointment, as I was hoping for grey. Thankfully I wear a good bit of blue and other like colours, so it works, and it grew on me. I think that it would be beneficial for Sunday Afternoon to provide a better representation of the colour of the hat for those who may not like the colour. Also, this hat does get sweat stains a little easier than other hats, so some may not like that. Washing the hat every so now and then helps. Overall, though, this is a good hat that I wish to get another colour, though again better representation would help.

I live in high desert Colorado, where powerful sun and very hot summers make hats essential.
I love this one for being packable (why don’t all brims fold?!) and light. It adjusts easily to stay on in strong winds or to sit loosely and comfortably. I actually use it, folded in my bag, as a sunglasses case

This is my second cap and the only ones I like to wear when working outside. I bought another on Martha’s Vineyard with the embroidered Martha’s Vineyard on it.

The Sun Tripper Cap is a good fit and comfortable to wear. I like to wear it when I don't need a lot of sun protection.

Scored one of these for free in medium and even though it was too tight for my big dumb head, I was sold on the quality and the features! I purchased a large shortly afterward and have been wearing it since.

Husband loves it. Wears it every day. Bug resistant easy to clean lightweight- we may get more just to have a spare!

This is my second hat. As soon as I realized I lost my original one , I had to quickly order a replacement. No other hat would do!

I purchased this hat in a medium and thought since adjustable that it would work. Was I wrong. I have a small head and even with the adjustable strap the hat sits on my ears...not at all suitable for someone with a smaller head. What a waste of money and a disappointment,

This is my 7th hat love these hats . Never had one fall apart just get new ones due to sweat stains and dirt stains

Great caps…. this is my 3rd one…. I love how they fold up in your pocket, and also that they cover my bald spot, unlike ball caps. Also look better than a ball cap, in my opinion.

It's comfortable adjustable and I like how it folds .

Comfortable stylish, awesome hat

It’s a nice cat but it doesn’t look very good on me. I would return it, but I removed the tags.

I had great hopes for this hat. Received it today in a box that was too large to put into the mailbox so had to go to the post office to pick it up.
It could easily have been shipped in a much smaller pouch that would have fit into the mailbox. That should have been my first clue.
The size is a medium and it is huge. Even with the elastic cord for sizing I cannot make it small enough for my head which measures 21 1/4 inches.
So very disappointed. As if this was not bad enough the hat is so large that when i try to pull the elastic to its end the actual cap is designed to be too round for my head. Meaning the bill itself extends out quite a bit.
A good thing is that it sits above my ears so I guess that would be a plus if it actually fit.
Returning it would be ridiculous as it would cost me more than I am willing to pay. Save yourself the trouble of ordering this dismal hat.
